CAMPBELL, Ruby Naomi (nee Colton) August 21, 1906 - February 23, 2004 Naomi was born in Lynden, Washington, the only child of Mary and John Colton. After travelling to several states, they moved to Cape Scott, where she spent a happy childhood. From Vancouver Island they moved to the Vanderhoof area where Naomi grew up, married Edwin Engstrom and raised six children. Predeceased by her husband, her mother and father, her oldest son Leon, and also husbands Orin Hirtle and later Andrew Campbell. Naomi is lovingly remembered by two sons: Robert (Jean) Engstrom and David Engstrom; three daughters Ruth (Roy) Nelson, Delores (Alfred) Deck and Esther (Raymond) Kimber; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28 in the Chapel of Lakewood Funeral Home, 1055 Ospika Blvd., in Prince George, BC. Interment will be Monday, March 1, in the Prince George City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Arrowsmith Care Home, Parksville, and Dr. Richard Henderson for the wonderful care she received, making her last five years as comfortable as possible.
