Russell was tragically killed in a commercial fishing accident aboard the FV Viking Storm. Russell left school at an early age to take this job and remained dedicated and passionate to it until his tragic end. Russell had an incredible work ethic and nothing came between that and his family.

Born and raised in Qualicum Beach, survived by his Daughter Brittaney, Parents Jim & Carolyn Farrington, Sisters Charlene Farrington (Rob Pickard), Courtney Farrington (Andrew Mason), Grandparents Alice Harrison and Ed and Irene Farrington and numerous Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and one Baby Nephew.

Predeceased by his idol and mentor, his Grandfather Paddy Harrison in 2006.

Russell will be remembered for his ever-present smile and generous heart. His passion for life was to live life to the fullest with family, friends and shipmates. Russell’s favorite saying was, “Go big or go home.” Russell’s pride and joy was his daughter Brittaney. Russell was an avid outdoorsman who loved to wakeboard, golf, ATV and camp. His authenticity and his love for life will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Qualicum Beach Civic Center where the
