Born August 6, 1924 in Dymont, Ontario, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011 with her daughters at her side.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Ruth’s memory will be held close by her loving husband of sixty-four years, Lloyd Fraser (Parksville); daughters Maryanne Farrell (Nanaimo), Wendy Fraser (Kenora) and Lynda Ellis (Parksville).
Gramma will be missed by her grandchildren: Maryanne’s children, Lana McCaul (Sean) living in Burlington and Kim Farrell (Paul) living in Vancouver, Wendy’s children, Shannon Triskle (Frank) living in Kenora and Kerry Hardy (Stacy) living in Spruce Grove and Lynda’s children, Carley Fayerman (Josh) and Eric Ellis (Stacey) living in Nanaimo. She will also be remembered lovingly by her seven great grandchildren: Evan and Bailey McCaul (Maryanne), Jamie De Triskle and Andrew and Sean Hardy (Wendy) and Noah Fayerman and Cheyanne Ellis (Lynda). Ruth was predeceased by parents Mary (Bennett) and Henry Knowles, brother Dempsey and son-in-law Terry Farrell.
Ruth and Lloyd moved from Kenora, Ontario in 1968 and enjoyed the rest of their long, happy marriage in Parksville. We will miss her easy going and generous nature, her willingness and her sense of humour.
We miss her already.
