Born in Winnipeg, January 11, 1926, Ruth Thomas died comfortably at home July 31, 2010 aged 84, attended by her family.
She was predeceased by husband David in May 2008 and is survived by all her children, Dave (Brenda), Jude (Stephen), Ruth (Charlie) and Fred (Kendra),
12 grand and 15 great-grand children.
A Legion memorial service was held August 4th in Qualicum Beach.
The family thanks Dr. R. Henderson for his help, compassion and thoughtful treatment throughout their mother’s long illness and the kind care and experience of the Hospice and Palliative Care programs, the Nurses and Home Support workers.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to their local Hospice Society.
