S. Roy Ashcroft

With great sadness we announce the passing of Roy Ashcroft in July 2014, after a short battle with heart disease.
Although born in England, Roy emigrated to Canada in 1956 where he met his wife Elizabeth, also from England. Roy had a full life of various careers utilizing his skill as an engineer. He enjoyed his years of music, singing in various church choirs, with the Vancouver Bach Choir, singing at Eagle Park and teaching an opera course at the local college. An avid soccer fan, he was able to enjoy the World Cup event of 2014.
He leaves behind his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth, 4 children Lyn, Allan (Trish), Judy (Al) and William. Six grandchildren, Ashleigh (great grandchild Danyka), Courtenay, Kevin, Cody, Alexei and Jordi.
He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
Services will be held at St. Mark’s Church on
Sunday, July 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. Tea to follow.
