January 11, 1940 - October 7, 2018
Sharon Anne Tinis, 78, passed away on October 7, 2018 in her home in Parksville, BC in the arms of her husband of 56 years, Donald "Wayne" Tinis, after living with heart disease. Sharon was born on January 11, 1940 in Nanaimo, BC the daughter of Wilfred Porter Turner and Cecile Marie Dotto.  

Sharon grew up in Nanaimo and became an award-winning hairdresser, a career she pursued on and off for over 20 years.  She was famous for her love of family, and bringing everyone together through her amazing cooking, baking and entertaining.  She was creative, an accomplished seamstress, loved to dance, travel on holiday (especially Hawaii) and occasionally spent time at her favourite casino.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Wayne, daughter Michelle (Bonita), son Scott (Sally), three grandchildren Annika, Katie and Adam, brother Robert (Marnie) Turner, sisters Val (Terry) Naylor, Debbie (Steve) Liska, and brother Kim (Trish) Dotto. She is predeceased by her father, mother and brother Wilfred Turner.

The family wishes to thank all Sharon and Wayne's Parksville neighbours for all their caring and support over these last few years. 

There will be a graveside service Friday, Oct. 19, 2 pm at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. Flowers gratefully declined, the family wishes donations be made to charities your of choice in Memory of Sharon.
