Shirley May Pollock nee Clarke

December 3, 2012

October 6, 1927 – December 3, 2012

Shirley passed away peacefully in her own home. She is survived by her husband Cyril; 5 children: Linda (Lorne), Barb (Bob), Clarke (Doreen), Sharon (Doug), John (Lynn); 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, and her only brother Bob (Mary).

Shirley was born in Duncan, BC and spent most of her 85 years living in Victoria. For the past 9 years, she resided in Bowser BC where she had been an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion. Monday afternoons would find Shirley laughing with her friends at her sewing group. She was very grateful for her lady friends and enjoyed her time with them immensely.

Shirley’s passion in life was clearly the love that she had for her husband and their large family. She was happiest when surrounded by her children and their families, truly loving her role as Wife, Mom, Granny and Great Granny.

At Shirley’s request, there will be no service.

The family will celebrate her life privately. Donations may be made in her memory to: Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion #211, PO Box 115 Bowser, BC V0R 1G0. To send a condolence to the family please visit www.yatesfuneral.ca
