November 20, 1947 - July 23, 2021
It is with the deepest sorrow that we share the passing of Stanley (Danny) Lee on July 23, 2021.
Left behind is his wife of 52 years, Vicky. Children; Paula (Gavin), Pam (Todd), Dan (Rhonda), Rob (Erin) and Leanne. Grandchildren; Jessica, Cassandra, Josh, Cory, Clayton, Makenna, Elijah, Kaitlyn, Samara, Marcus, and Max.
Danny was the oldest of 10 siblings, born in Victoria, BC on November 20, 1947. Being the "cutest baby" his Aunt's Wilma and Linda had ever seen. Danny and Vicky moved to Errington in 1977 to their hobby farm.
Then moved to Hilliers in 1983, the place "we" called home. A lot of happy memories were made there. Danny and Vicky retired in Nanoose Bay to the home with a Million Dollar View.
Danny was a plasterer for most of his working life. Retiring in 2014 from Coast Projects (Knappett). He kept his co-workers amused and entertained throughout their work days, always teasing and laughing.
Danny's hobbies were home renos, clearing land, landscaping and building outdoor bonfires, which he loved to do with his family. Danny's most fulfilling times were watching and supporting his children and grandchildren activities like dancing, basketball, soccer, band concerts, cadets, baseball, racetrack and the list goes on.
Life for Danny was all about spending special times with his family, friends and singing the very special Happy Birthday Song.
The Lee family would like to thank the following people: The Nanaimo Hospice Unit, the Red Cross, Oceanside Hospice Society, Oceanside Palliative Team (Tamara), and Qualicum Beach Memorial Service. They helped make Danny's wishes possible.
"You fought hard to stay with us. You passed away surrounded by your family".
Cancer took you from us but you will always be in our hearts. "Dad, you were the best husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, nephew and devoted your life to being there for us". "Dad, papa, love you".....till we meet again.
A Celebration of Danny's life to be announced at later date.
