DRAPER, Stanley George
Born in London, England, Stan passed away
peacefully at Trillium Lodge with family and
“Sadie Dog” at his side.
He is survived by daughter Ann, grandchildren Dave, Don (Heather), Dean (Denine), Jack (Karen) and James, 8 great-grandchildren, cousins in Calgary, Jess and Maureen, and 3 brothers in England, Douglas, Les and Joe (Julie).
He was predeceased by his loving wife Katherine in 2008, son John in 2007, son-in-law Ed in 2006, grandson Daniel in 1979, as well as his parents in England, a brother Paul in Calgary and two sisters, Iris and Maureen in England.
As a young man, Stan served with the British Army before immigrating to Canada. He settled in Calgary, Alberta where he met and married Katherine. They retired in 1970 to Kelowna and than later moved to Parksville.
A very special “Thank You” to the exceptional and caring staff at Trillium Lodge for making Stan’s last years so much better. You are all amazing. Also, “Thanks” go out to Dr. Henderson and his staff for many years of wonderful care.
