Small, Stuart

August 16, 1922 – January 23, 2010

With sadness in our hearts, we announce that Stuart Small passed away quietly at his home in Qualicum. Born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan, he served overseas with the RCAF in WW2. On return to Canada, he moved to Vancouver where he met and married the love of his life, Eva. A skilled tradesman and clockmaker, he worked first in the jewellery business and later at the Vancouver School Board until his retirement, when he and Eva moved to Qualicum. Following Eva’s death in 1986, Stuart caught the travel bug and took many adventurous trips to the UK, Europe, and the South Pacific. He loved to meet people and spent many happy days both far afield and at home with friends old and new. Stuart will be greatly missed by daughter Nancy, son-in-law Bob and granddaughter Katie, his brother Irv, sister-in-law Ollie, nephew Michael, nieces Janis and Rhonda, and by his many friends, both here and abroad.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, Vancouver Island, 2410 Lee Ave, Victoria, BC V8R 6V5.
