Passed away peaceful on ?July 23, 2012 in Nanaimo, BC, during a brief battle with cancer.
Born April 5, 1936 in Fleetwood, England, Terry immigrated to Kelowna, BC, in August of 1961 after earning a degree in medicine from the University of St. Andrews. The Okanagan was his home for many years as he first practised family medicine from an office in Westbank, BC, and then specialized in radiology with an office on Lawrence Ave. in Kelowna. When not working Terry filled his time serving others as a Commodore of the Canadian Power Squadron, a director at the Okanagan Symphony and a long time member of Rotary. After retiring from medicine, Terry turned childhood love of butterfly’s into a living as the proprietor of Butterfly World in Coombs, BC. Terry also served as a past director of the Brandt Wildlife Festival and was an active member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday July 28th?at Yates Funeral Home, 1000 Allsbrook Rd., Parksville. BC.
