CHATELLE, Thelma

March 24, 1920 - August 28, 2008

Thelma was born the oldest of five siblings in West Hartlepool England. Thelma will be deeply missed by her beloved and devoted husband, Edward, of 58 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters Cheryl (Gary) and Karen (Jim), grandchildren Kelly (Larry), Kyle (Jodi), Laurena and Tony, great grandchildren Dylan, Darby, Blu, Demri, Skylar and Draya and surviving sister Edna (resides in England) and a younger brother Terry (Lorna) in California.

Thelma instilled the deep love of God and His creation in her children for which they are grateful. Family gatherings will not be the same without her laughter, sense of humor, pranks and treasure hunts. Despite her physical challenges with Polio, she loved life and kept a positive attitude. Her greatest joy was showing hospitality to friends. Her generousity touched the lives of many through her lifetime. If a person’s life is measured by the number of friends, Thelma was a wealthy woman. Her beautiful smile and laughter will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Parksville Kingdom Hall, September 6, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. L069 Smithers Road, Parksville, Exit 51.
