(Uncle T.T. – Timber Tom) Date of Birth: December 31, 1936

Passed away accidently in Nanoose. Predeceased by father William (Scotty) Garrow; brothers: Don, Jim, Bill (Shorty); nephew Jason, son of John & Marilyn. Survived by son James David; daughter Sherry Lynn Merriman; wife Mary; mother Helen; sister Marie; brother: John (Marilyn) and daughter Leanna (Pat), great nephews: Keith and Tyler; Frank (Nancy) and their daughter Debbie (Terry) and great nephews Brett and Riley, who searched his heart out for his great uncle; Fred, Brian (his friend and hunting partner); sister-in-law Georgina and her children: Raymond, Dale (Colleen); great nephews Cody and Jeremy; great nieces: Amber, Alysha, Mishayla, Linda (Blair); great nephew and buddy Tyler, great nephew Darren; niece Donna (Kelly): great nephew Travis; great niece Tiffany, nephew Mike (Pam) and their children Billy and Mikala and numerous family back East on the Prairies.

Tom worked in logging in his early years at Northwest Bay. He loved the outdoors all his life. He had a great compassion for animals and loved gardening. He will be deeply missed by friends and family that truly knew him for who he was.

The family would like to sincerely thank all the Search and Rescuers: Arrowsmith, Port Alberni, Nanaimo, Cedar, Courtenay/Comox; Parksville R.CM.P. and the Nanaimo Canine Unit (Razor); Air Rescue and all the many volunteers for their immense efforts as well as the friends and residents of the Matthew & Morrello Road area and local businesses of Island Hwy. and Nanoose area and local Loggers (you know who you are).

A gathering will be held for family and close friends to celebrate Tom’s life, Saturday, march 18, 2006 at 2785 Matthew Rd., Nanoose, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm, 468-9478.
