December 20, 1932 – May 10, 2009
It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Ursula Helen Gottschalk on May 10, 2009 to a short and courageous fight with cancer.
Ursula was born in Dusseldorf, Germany, December 20, 1932. She married Andre on August 28, 1953 and shortly thereafter they immigrated to Canada by way of ship landing on September 12, 1954. They settled in Aurora, Ontario where they lived for 35 years before retiring to Nanoose Bay, BC in 1989.
Ursula was well known for her “get it done” ethic, a fantastic cook, baker, knitter and gardener. She is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Andre, Michael, (son), Jennifer (daughter-in-law), and three grandchildren Liam, Ethan and Henry.

A celebration of Ursula’s life will be held on
Friday, May 29th from 2-5pm at the
Fairwinds Centre at 3455 Fairwinds Drive,
Nanoose Bay, BC.
