Victor Leroy Parrack

May 23, 1934 - Oct 9, 2013

Predeceased by his parents Ural and Edith (Vaughan) Parrack and step mother Loreen (Hagen) Parrack also brothers, Don and Randy Parrack, and parents in law Ben and Eva Crabe.

Survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Louise (Crabe) Parrack; daughter and son in law, Edie and Gary Hough; grandchildren, Gary Wayne Hough (Melanie) and Jennifer Hough-Procknow; great-grand daughters, Jessica Hough and Alison and Alexis Procknow. Also survived by brothers, Dick Hagen and Don Parrack, from Ontario. Victor’s close family also included his numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews, and our special friends and close neighbours.

Victor was a firefighter on several air force bases before he retired from the London International Airport (Crumlin) in Ontario. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Odd Fellows and continued to be a constant supporter of the Society of Organized Services (District 69) here in Parksville.

Vic was a world traveller, an excellent bird watcher and poker player extraordinaire but he will be best remembered for being the kind and gentle man that he was.

A Celebration of his life will be held at Yates

Funeral Chapel, 1000 Allsbrook Road, Parksville on Saturday, October 26th, at 3:00 pm.

The family will take Victor’s ashes back to Fingal, Ontario next summer for burial and a small celebration will be held at that time.
