Betty was born in Lincoln, England on December 10, 1924. While serving with the Women’s Royal Air Force during WWII she met and married her husband Malcolm (Mac) Anderson. In 1957 they immigrated to Canada, and made their home in Cordova Bay until retiring to Parksville in 1985. Betty passed peacefully at Victoria Hospice May 13, 2002. She was predeceased by her husband Mac and brother Tom. Betty leaves her children: Ian (Diane), Malcolm (Maureen), Carol (David) Jaenen. Grandchildren: Sean (Meredith), Chris, Jason, Doug, Nick, Sarah and Claire. Great grandsons: Spencer and Pearce. Brothers: Ted (Dorothy), Les and Pete in England; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jim and Betty of Parksville; sisters-in-law Ann in Scotland and Doris in England; as well as many nieces and nephews in Australia, Canada, England and Scotland. She also leaves her special friend Joyce Marshall of Victoria, along with other extended family and good friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am Friday, May 17, 2002 at First Memorial Funeral Services (Saanich), 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria Reception to follow
