MCINTYRE, William Craig Neil
passed away April 1, 2006 at the age of 86 years after a short but valiant struggle against cancer.
Bill went to the “great beyond” in the same way he lived his life – peacefully and quietly. Born on February 11, 1920 in Regina, Saskatchewan where he met and married the love of his life Dorothy and raised two children, Anne and Neil. Bill was a loyal and dedicated employee of Chrysler Canada for 30 years. When he retired he and Dorothy moved to Parksville, BC where they spent 25 happy years together. The past 3 years were spent with family in Aldergrove, BC. In his younger days Bill enjoyed skating and dancing and after retirement there was time for golfing, reading westerns and doing jigsaw puzzles’ Louis L’Amour and Charles Wysocki were frequent companions. Bill enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, he never met a jelly bean he didn’t like and there wasn’t anything a little ice cream couldn’t fix, especially if it was accompanied by coconut cream pie. “Poppa Bill” will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 64 years, Dorothy; their two children Anne Kaiser (Rick) and Neil (Eileen) and grandchildren Rick and Craig McPhee, Katelyn and Emily McIntyre; and great grandchildren Derek McPhee and Bryce and Darby McPhee.
