Broadley, William Joseph

January 1, 1920 – November 30, 2013

My Bill was born in Leamington, Ontario and grew up there and in the Hamilton, Burlington area. By trade, he was a projectionist for many years. He was also a letter carrier for over 20 years in the Burlington Post Office.

Bill leaves many friends and relatives in Newfoundland, Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and USA. He was a well-respected member of the Masonic Lodge.

We were married in 1974 and came to Vancouver Island in 1992 to settle happily in Qualicum Beach.

A special thank you to Dr. Waite for his care of both of us through the ups and downs of our lives; to Trillium Lodge for getting residents involved and giving encouragement along with hugs and understanding; and to the Nanaimo Hospital for their calm, dignified manner which helped us to accept the last days of Bill’s life.

So sleep well Trilly and I’ll see you in the morning. Much love – your girl Jean.

Cremation has taken place at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens. An interment service will be held at a later date, officiated by Pastor Allan Walker and Chaplain Ray Smit of the Qualicum Beach Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, please consider honouring Bill’s memory with a gift to a charity of your choice.
