Yvonne Fissler

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Yvonne Fissler announce the passing of their dear, mother, daughter, sister and niece Yvonne at the age of 48.
Yvonne was born in Bochum, Germany on October 27th of 1972 to Petra and Gunther Fissler. In 1980 she moved with her family to Canada. She was raised in the beautiful Okanagan. As a youth Yvonne was a smart, social well rounded athlete who loved playing volleyball and continued the sport into her adulthood.
Yvonne had good memories of her days growing up on the Okanagan lake where she made connections and friendships that she maintained throughout her lifetime. In 1992 she moved back to Germany where she met Harold Bienko, the two fell in love and had their daughter Jennifer (Jenny) Fissler in 1993. Yvonne and Jenny moved to Canada together shortly after the birth and settled in the beautiful Qualicum Beach area.
Upon moving to the Oceanside area with the family in 1993 Yvonne worked dedicatedly alongside her family at the previous French Creek Bakery. She served and established many connections with the Oceanside community during the 20 dedicated years she gave to the Family business.
Yvonne is predeceased by her grandmother Ingeborg Fissler & grandfather's Gunther Fissler & Hans Lehmann, by Harold Bienko and a few close friends.
She is survived by her beloved grandmother Lotte Lehmann, Mother and Father Petra and Gunther, Sister Claudia, Aunt Barbara and loving daughter Jennifer.
Yvonne had a beautiful bright spirit, the glow in her big brown eyes will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her. She was happiest on the golf course, at the beach, or at any social gathering.
She was a very special person who could light up any room she was in, and could make you laugh no matter your mood. A real social butterfly, she couldn't go anywhere without running into at least 1 person she knew.
A celebration of her life will be held at the French Creek Bistro this Sunday, August 8th 2021. The service will be held at 1pm - 2:30pm. The open celebration will be held until 4pm.
Yvonne was an incredibly caring and loving person who made an impact on the community and those that knew her. We will miss you forever Yvonne.
