Zelma Elzie FREW
June 8, 1921 – July 10, 2015
Zelma passed on Friday, July 10th at Eagle Park Care Facility in Qualicum Beach at the age of 94. She is survived by her daughter, Judy (Kevin) Varey of Nanoose Bay, BC; son, Peter Frew of Kamloops, BC; grandchildren, Sydney, Rachel, and Robin Varey, Erin (Jamie) Vieira, and Annie Korver; great grandchildren, Abby and Hannah Vieira. Zelma was predeceased by her husband, Archie Neil Frew.
Born to Eustache and Eugennie Roussin in Waterhen, Manitoba, Zelma was raised in St Rose, Manitoba and moved to Vancouver as a young woman. It was there she met Archie. They were married in 1948. They raised their family in Burnaby where they lived until Archie’s passing in 2001. After a short stay in Maple Ridge, Zelma moved to Qualicum Beach to be closer to her daughter.
The family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the wonderful staff at Eagle Park Care Facility for the love and compassion provided to their mother during her time with them.
