Why is everything so loud at the beach festival in Parksville?
The concerts at the park, the ghastly music from the beach volleyball tournament are all sources of sound pollution and a crass lack of respect for the ones who can’t stand the noise.
I can hear it all from my house, which is 1.3 km away from the park.
Music is something personal; one should choose what, when and for how long to listen to music.
The summer at Parksville Community Park used to be so civilized, but now it seems that the trend goes for the ‘louder the better’ type of mentality.
