Do wood-burning residents know their stove dampers must be left open to a greater degree in order to burn cleanly? Having burned wood for heat for many years, it didn’t take long to learn the right way to use my airtight stove in order to prevent caustic air outside.
Perhaps folks could consider their neighbours and our environment when they “damp down.” Wood heating is a choice. Respecting our air quality is a must.
