I would like to express a sincere thank you to the emergency staff at the Oceanside Health Centre.
I was one of the skeptics who thought this health centre was unnecessary in our community. On Sept. 19, I changed my mind.
Our gardener for our complex was stung by a wasp and had a severe reaction to it. I brought her to the recently available OHC emergency.
Because of the staff and their prompt, efficient care she was treated immediately and kept for four hours for observation.
This could have had a much different outcome had she not been five minutes from this facility and had to go to Nanaimo instead.
