Climate change

Did you know that the global climate data provided to the UN IPCC show that there has been no increase in temperature for eighteen years?

“George, did you know that the official global climate data provided to the UN IPCC — United Nations Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change — by the HadCrut Climate Research Unit at the University of East Anglia, UK, and by NOAA and NASA in the US, show that there has now been no increase in the world’s temperature for eighteen years?

Moreover, the intensity and number of severe climatic events — hurricanes, tornadoes, droughts, floods and forest fires — are below average over the established time record.”

“What do you mean? I am being told all the time by the TV, radio and newspapers, that catastrophic global warming, caused by our carbon dioxide emissions, is sending us all to hell in a hand basket! I don’t understand.”

“Well George, you see, they are not referring to actually measured — or real — temperature data. They are basing their predictions on the results from their global warming theory computer models.”

“Oh, thanks for clearing up the confusion. But hey! If their computer models have failed so disastrously to predict the past 18 years leveling of the Earth’s temperature, what measure of confidence can we have in their new predictions for the next 18 or 80 years?”

“A good observation. Hold that thought George!”
