I would like to thank all those who have been shoveling their sidewalks during our recent snowfalls. One can appreciate and accept that others are not physically capable of clearing their walks and are unable to find people who will do it for them. Also, the city has been doing a great job keeping roads as clear as possible.
However, it is completely unacceptable that Ballenas High School has left their sidewalks uncleared. The parking lots and driveways are perfectly plowed, but no attempt has been made to make even the slightest pathway for pedestrians; students and adults alike.
Where is the public safety accountability from the school board and the schools?
