Comments turned me off this party

There's nothing progressive about BC Conservatives

I would like to apologize to all my friends and neighbours for being such a fool and making the assumption that the BC Conservative were a spinoff of the federal Progressive Conservatives I first supported in 1978 and continue to support.

As it turns out the Reform Party members of B.C. have hi-jacked the Conservative name in order to re-brand themselves.

This has all come to light following the public comments of their leader John Cummins concerning gay being a choice.

I’m a progressive conservative and I can’t support the Archie Bunker anti-abortionists or those that think being gay is a conscious choice.

I’m now shocked knowing that ex-Newfoundland Premier Brian Peckford, has fallen into the immoral bed of the Reform Conservatives.

As the president of the Parksville-Qualicum riding association has recently stated … he ‘wishes the party was running under the Reform banner.’  Sir, so do I.
