We recently entertained dinner guests, and as they were not familiar with Qualicum Beach, encouraged them to come through town rather than around.
They arrived at 5:30 p.m. and their first comment was “What a dead town!”
Evening markets are to be applauded for their help in correcting this sad state of affairs and merchants could do more in this regard than complain, especially during the period of our lovely summer evenings.
