Finally, Qualicum Beach town council did something productive and passed a bylaw banning dogs from the Farmer’s Market. Now could somebody do something about banning off leash dogs on our beaches?
Oh yes, the owners will say they have complete control, but believe you me, when a dog sees another dog or a rolling ball or a flying frisbee, it needs to check it out.
A big thank-you to the lady who brought her two miniature Collies on to the beach by Hall Road on July 26 and exposed us to a full hour of her dogs’ persistent barking and yelping while she threw their ball.
