Don't cut me off

If you cut me off when I have the right of way to cross at a crosswalk, I will call you in

In response to the July 4 letter entitled, Stop means stop, it really does. See it this way if you can: Stop To Observe Pedestrians.

My wife and I can relate to that. We have been cut off by drivers making a right turn as we step off the cub with the walk sign on and there was no care taken by the driver — as if we were not there.

We have been cut off many times and honked at for trying to cross.

Not all pedestrians are good. Many of them just walk right on out without looking to see if it is safe to do so. They expect a driver to read their minds.

The city spent over $3 million on upgrades to the McMillan Street and pedestrian crosswalks with walk lights, but only about one in 10 bush the button. What a waste of money!

Well, if you cut me off when I have the right of way to cross at a crosswalk, I will call you in, with your licence number and I do hope the police knock on your door. Drivers are subject to court action if a pedstrian is hit when they have the right of way. You could lose, big time.
