Duncan and freedom of expression

Re: the removal of Conservative candidate signs and comments by candidate John Duncan.

Regarding the removal of Conservative candidate signs (The NEWS, Sept. 10) and the comments by candidate John Duncan (“It’s not fair play” and “It’s contrary to freedom of expression.”)

Well, let me remind Duncan of his party’s record on these ideals. There are far too many examples to list here but just a couple include robocalls and proroguing parliament (twice).

As for ‘contrary to freedom of expression,’ what about muzzling Canadian scientists (especially on Arctic research) and in my opinion the king of all restrictions on freedom of expression, Bill C51.
