The smell of rotten eggs is overwhelming and emanates from the RDN sewage treatment plant and ponds filled with the same “water” from the RDN sewage treatment plant. With more residential development in both Parksville and the RDN, the smell is only going to get worse until some measures are undertaken to address this stinky issue.
Politicians running for office in the next election in both Parksville and the RDN need to address the problem and stop “holding their noses.” Oh yes, did we mention that the same partially-treated sewage is also being pumped directly into our ocean just a short distance from the entrance to French Creek? How is your salmon tasting?
