Now that Canada geese may face the bullet in peaceful Oceanside, it is time to revisit the options.
Unlike the Great Beach Cleanup Event, the Great Egg Addling Event has yet to happen. There appears to be some mystery why addling eggs has not produced the needed population reduction at the Englishman River estuary. Give Canada geese one more season, and give suitable citizen volunteers the chance to “get out and shake an egg!”
Tourists and locals celebrate the migrating Brant. Let’s not spoil our positive reputation by bringing national condemnation and animal righteous indignation to Oceanside.
