I’m very thankful and impressed to read about the positive stand our local RCMP have taken in closing down the Phoenix dispensary in downtown Parksville.

Marijuana is not the panacea these medicinal drug pushers are promoting. Although they have a very polished flow chart and support of the West Coast marijuana culture, they do not have my support, or that of many broken-hearted parents.

We may not be as vocal as this group, because we are too busy caring for grandchildren or helping adult children as they recover from substance abuse. This deceptive message of “medicine” has cost our family years of grief.

Don’t believe the slick advertising for this substance — our youth are becoming addicted and someone is making money at this.
