Stephen Harper has emulated the insane neo-con economic policies of G.W. Bush — cut taxes for the wealthy and increase spending — which have virtually assured the destruction of the U.S. middle-class because of the unfunded social programs, which was spent on weapons and wars.
When Harper was leader of the opposition he delivered a speech to an audience of high-powered businessmen in New York in which he stated that if he became PM they wouldn’t recognize Canada within a few years.
He’s certainly right.
I never thought Canadians would tolerate his dictatorial disregard and disrespect for democracy and his vicious, American-style attack ads.
