A heartfelt thank you to the staff and shoppers who came to his aid and to the police who responded, my family and I appreciate your kindness. This attack was malicious and unprovoked and not something a child should have to experience.
We hear all the time and teach our children that we should be kind to strangers as everyone may be fighting a personal battle. My nephew fights his own battle with epilepsy every day and never has he taken out his anger and frustration on anyone.
He can emerge from this confrontation with his head held high because though he may only be 13 years old his strength of character is so much stronger than your fist!
