Over the last year I have been reading and listening to comments regarding the pros and cons of smart meters.
What stuck in my mind were BC Hydro’s claims that the new meters will bring down the cost of hydro for the average consumer.
I am presently visiting Chatham, Ontario to care for my sister after her surgery.
She has become ever more energy aware since the smart meter was installed in her home over a year ago. Since then, her hydro bill has doubled although her average consumption has not changed.
Hopefully, the residents of B.C. will continue to speak out and fight BC Hydro and make them accountable for the propaganda they are trying to get away with.
