Thank you, John Harding, for raising the issue of a place for the homeless.
I, too, wondered why Mayor Marc Lefebvre announced at the May 16 council meeting that council discussions with the Homelessness Task Force, who presented that evening, would be in camera.
I, for one, would have been very interested to hear council discuss this important matter. In fact, judging by the interest in the recent petition, I would bet that many of Parksville’s residents are interested in how and when and where we as a city tackle this problem that won’t magically disappear if we never take action.
