magnificent grandeur
Sacrificed on the altar of progress
a maniacal, relentless campaign to
obliterate the natural state
in favour of an endless sea
a vapid wasteland of urban/suburban
Ugliness
A testament to mindless, tasteless, soulless
avarice and greed
It makes one weep
A caustic wound on the soul
Do we let them destroy this
Island’s beauty and exceptionality?
Or, do we demand a prescient
unselfish, conscious, sentient
Paradigm shift
Before it is too late
