As a homeowner who lives on Corfield Street, I am writing to say that I support the supportive housing project that is planned for 222 Corfield.
We are a community in Parksville and I believe that as a community, we need to consider everyone in our community.
Housing and shelter is a basic human principle. How else do we expect those who are in need of shelter to possibly deal with any issues they have?
I have heard that the type of supportive housing project to be built is the first of its kind in B.C. I say, yes, let’s have Parksville be the outstanding leader. Let’s show the rest of B.C., Canada and the world that we are capable of looking after everyone in our community.
Let’s be the example for other communities that in Parksville we will provide housing for everyone.
