I was walking my dog Sam at my favourite dog walking park at Ravensong.

Sam is a fairly large dog, and when he gets excited playing with the other dogs he gets a little rough. He knocked me over very forcefully on the side of my knee.

I was alone sitting on the gravel pathway not knowing what to do. A very kind gentleman lifted me onto the bench and he went to get a wheelchair so that I could get to my car. Once I was sitting in my car, and Sam was in the backseat he went and bought me coffee and a cookie. He also made sure that my husband was on his way before he left.

While sitting in the car waiting a wonderful lady came to me and asked if she could help. She went right ahead and made sure that Sam was well watered and talking with me for a little while, which was very comforting.

After she left an elderly gentleman offered to take Sam walking. I didn’t want him to have an accident like me, so he said that he would like to take him in the off-leash dog run to play with his own dog. So he sat with the dogs for a generous amount of time.

I am writing this letter because I am overwhelmed by these three people’s kindness and wish to be able to thank them personally. I have a fractured knee and have a plate and screws holding everything in place

There is still caring, considerate, selfless people lurking in the park. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
