My wife and I had the pleasure to visit Moorecroft Regional Park over the weekend just 30 minutes south of Qualicum Beach and found it a location of spectacular beauty.
The walking trails through the old growth forests within view of pristine rocky beaches were pleasant and very accessible. Kudos to the Regional District of Nanaimo and Nature Trust for following a minimalist development approach for this day-use area and bringing this unique habitat into the public domain.
No doubt, the B.C. Conference of the United Church should also be recognized for their foresight and environmental stewardship practice in providing us with this environmental legacy for all to enjoy.
