There is no shortage of water in the Oceanside area at any time of the year, only a shortage of stored water.
Greater Vancouver has three reservoirs supplying about 2.4 million people, or one reservoir per 800,000 people.
Our region has one reservoir supplying about 18,000 people.
Pretty easy to do the math. The population of the Parksville Qualicum Beach area will increase exponentially every year and so should the water storage capacity.
