Re: Director will ask again for a name change for the regional district (The NEWS, March 4).

Do our trusted senior politicians at the Regional District of Nanaimo have nothing better to concern themselves with than a name change? Maybe they should concentrate on the “real” issues such as; cutting costs at the bureaucracy, streamlining of development processes and better care and upgrades of the infrastructure.

Think study, consultants, new hires to implement a name change, signage, stationary, it boggles the mind.
