Sad slaughter

I would like to say that I disagree with the Canada goose slaughter of nearly 500 birds

I would like to say that I disagree with the Canada goose slaughter of nearly 500 birds done recently with the approval of the City of Parksville.

I wish that they had tried longer some other methods of getting the geese to leave, such as consistently having dogs chase them over many years. I offered to bring my dog to do this, but was refused.

Also, a friend said if just one goose was killed, the rest would leave. Was this even tried?

At least this would be more humane.

Parksville will now be known for killing wildlife rather than preserving it.
