Terrible hockey

I am baffled why people still follow the Canadian NHL teams instead of booing badly-played hockey.

I grew up in Montreal with the 1960s Canadiens, an era where if the team played badly, consistently, the crowd booed. If they played badly over a long period of time, the fans either stopped showing up or gave up their seats entirely, thus hitting the owners in the pocket books.

In many American arenas, I believe the TV camera operators are told not to video above the boards and glass because it shows too many empty seats.

Right now, as long as the arenas are full in Canadian rinks, there is no reason for owners to change their poor behaviour. Come on fans, wake up.
