Thank the U.S.A.

Thank your lucky stars our friends to the south patrol along with our pathetic system we call a Coast Guard.

Re: Horner’s Corner column, July 25 edition of The NEWS.

Your column has irked this person to finally speak out. Bashing seems to be a most popular theme these days. A saying comes to mind: keep your friends close but your enemies closer.

Thank your lucky stars our friends to the south patrol along with our pathetic system we call a Coast Guard, and darn well hope they are there when your kayak springs a leak.

Climate change? What is a government to do when a complacent society cares squat, refusing the solutions in their backyard.

Horner claims to be a proud and patriotic Canadian, which leaves many questions in this person’s mind, but no sense in complaining, no one listens anyway.
