While I recognize and respect letter writer Pat Doughty’s memories, she and others have to realize that there is a generation of Canadians (baby boomers) who are retiring and want somewhere nice to retire.
Parksville Qualicum Beach is the most ideal retirement environment in Canada, so don’t be surprised to see a large influx of retirees and lots more growth in all communities.
So to all you whiners who continuously object to change, move over and make room for other Canadians who wish to settle (just as you all did once) and enjoy their retirement years.
