The TPP trade agreement opens the door to imported milk products containing Bovine Somatropin.

The TPP trade agreement opens the door to imported milk products containing Bovine Somatropin, (BST), which is given to dairy cattle cows to enhance milk production.

It is banned for use in Canada.

The government has promised compensation for dairy producers, which would be funded by the taxpayers. As things stand now, they receive no benefits from the taxpayer.
