Regarding the article written in the January 17 issue of The NEWS (Resort property for sale).
Do we really need another monstrosity on our beautiful beach? Why not build something fun, like waterslides, with modest accommodations for year-round revenue. It doesn’t have to be ginormous like the Cultus Lake slides, just somewhere those of us with kids can go and spend the day having a ton of fun right in our own backyard.
You can only take the kids skating, swimming and hiking so many times to entertain them before boredom sets in and you decide to skip paying a couple of bills and spend big coin to take the rug-rats somewhere fun. Which means, if you want to go to a waterslide park for example, you have to go to the mainland.
Let’s not let the “bad economy” freeze us in place. Keep our money in our community. Let’s get creative.
