What's so wrong with coalitions?

I don’t understand why nobody has mentioned Stephen Harper’s coalition made up of the Reform/Alliance party and the Conservatives.

During this election campaign there has been much talk about various parties forming coalitions.  I don’t understand why nobody has mentioned Stephen Harper’s coalition made up of the Reform/Alliance party and the Conservatives.

Remember when they got together they spoke of how their parties had previously split the right wing vote, and how their new arrangement would allow them a better chance of forming government.

Mr. Harper even removed the word “Progressive” from the Conservative party name reinforcing their move further to the right.
